Matthew Star was a prince on the planet Quadris, who was forced to flee to Earth when his planet's government was overthrown by despots. On Earth, he took the form of an ordinary high-school student (albeit one with superpowers), and was accompanied by his guardian Walt, who became the school's science teacher. The American government knew of Matthew and Walt's origin, and used them to act as agents on occasion. Matthew Starr appears to be a normal teenager. But in reality, he's an alien from another planet, Quadris. And not only that he is the prince. It seems that years ago, his planet was invaded, and as a member of the ruling family, he has or at least will have certain powers that could be used to defeat the invaders. So, a man whom the rulers of the planet trusted was instructed to take their son and go to the planet Earth, cause it closely resembles, Quadris. Matthew, now a teenager, who has to leave everytime the invaders find him and Walt, the man his parents instructed to take care of him, decides that it's time to take a stand. So while trying to live on Earth, he must fend off the invaders, when they come after him.
